This may not improve your love life...
...but there's a strong chance it'll cheer you up a bit.
Have a listen to my Valentine podcast episode.
Whether you think Valentine’s Day is a load of cockamamie hokum or you’re a swooning romantic, I hope you enjoy 14th February however you spend it…and whoever you spend it with.
Things I’m loving this February.
Voiceover work. I’ve voiced a campaign for L’Oréal that should be going live very soon. Here’s the last ad I voiced for them. Hear more of my voiceover stuff here!
Music. This gorgeous song by Barbara Strozzi is all about lurve.
Books. The Age Of Innocence by Edith Wharton. This book won the Purlitzer in 1921 and is one of the most beautiful books on unrequited love I’ve ever read. It’s heartbreaking. I recommended it to a much-loved client. When he’d finished the final devastating scene he sent me a message. “What have you done to me? I’m broken.”
College. I’m working on a couple of collaborations with RNCM folk that are super exciting. I’ve also been asked to be part of a new contemporary classical music group. Woop!
Pals. My great mate Darren Altman sent me this video of him experiencing a commercial I voiced for Radio Jackie. He was presenting his radio show at the time, so was effectively goosed by my voice in an ad break. Just watch his little face, bless him.
And of course, Yoko the studio dog.
If you like what I do, you can buy me a coffee!
Of the two, I prefer the limerick. The other poem made me black out and gave me rickets. The limerick only made me black out.
Also, I thought you had stopped doing 'medical' scripts. But hey, it's valentines day, so to each their own!
